Knitting, Knitting, Knitting . . . I like knitting . . . What can I knit for yooooouuu?!

This is my attempt at the 52 Weeks of Blythe 2010. I had time today to get ready for week one! Blondie Blythe is sporting a sweater from Christopher and Banks holiday ornament collection (ornament?! - it a doll sweater!)

We went to our elementary school's holiday sing along this morning. The gym was packed with children and parents. Half way through the singing, the principal made some announcements and asked the kids if they had any announcements to make. A small boy stood up, pointed at a man in uniform and shouted "There's a soldier here!" The child paused a moment and said "Thank you!". Everyone applauded, and we parents looked at each other with tear filled eyes in appreciation.

My ever changing handmade bag web site. This is the latest, and hopefully it will stem the changing of my mind.

I start a new job with Hospice next week. I work in the ICU now. This video sums up the reason for my job change. It is waring and dehumanizing to be part of a broken system that ultimately cause people more needless suffering.

A new must have - paper dolls ; )

Tomorrow while I will be spending several hours in a hospital waiting room while my Dad is having surgery, I'll be knitting.

Oh, to live in a dolly world with cute little sweaters!!

Only six days until Harry Potter opens! We can't wait!!

. . . with another name. Why? After I couldn't use beccabags anymore (alleged trademark issue), I briefly entertained Odessa Gypsy Bags. The name was mysterious, but a lot of people gave it the thumbs down. Then I tried to expand mungo.etsy, with the dolly clothes, to include the bags with Mungo Village. Again, sadly no one liked Mungo :(   My co-workers (an openly frank group) let me know in no uncertain terms, it was a bad name. OK. The negative feedback of the name and the economy has taken the fizz out of my bag sewing. Bags parts are in pieces in my studio and bag ideas continue to swirl in my head without an outlet. So, I will try again with www.MyButtonBag.com, to debut in August.

Summer outside projects in the warm, bright sun are on the agenda today.

Adventures with Rit dye was the event in the kitchen today. The dress this Momoko doll is wearing started out white, now it is an ultra cool wine color. It matches perfectly with the mustard yellow color sweater I knit for her too. If only I could dress this nice, ha :) Momoko (I am not good at naming dolls) has made friends with Five the 'family pet dog'. They are buddies since they are the same size.
